David W. Glaser

David William Glaser was born on August 25th, 1941, in Covington Kentucky to William and Freida Glaser. He spent the majority of his teenage years working at the golf course, which as those who knew him know that that was his passion. When David graduated high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. While serving in Hawaii he met his wife of 63 years, Theresa who was also serving in the Navy. They went on to have 4 children. After 22 years of service and reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer he retired. After retirement he continued to work in management positions in the baking industry.

David enjoyed sports, reading and music. He was an avid golfer and in his younger years enjoyed bowling. He loved his family.

On August 1st 2026, David passed away peacefully with family.

David is preceded in death by his father William Glaser, mother Freida Glaser, sister Sandy Wendling and niece Paige Wendling.

He is survived by his wife Theresa Glaser (Obos), children Linda (Tim) Phistry, Paulette (Michael) Harry, Joseph (Donna) Glaser, William (Doreen) Glaser and 6 grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Life Choice Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

Visitation with the family will begin at 10am at St Dismas church, 2600 Sunset Ave, Waukegan Illinois on Thursday, August 13th followed by a Memorial Mass at 11am. Following the mass, we will have a procession to Ascension Cemetery located at 14868 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL with a luncheon to follow.
