Diane Patricia Bakshis

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd in Gurnee, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Entombment will take place on July 8th at Ascension Cemetery at 11am.

She was born on December 20th, 1950, in Chicago, IL to Dominic Patano and Marlyn G (nee Zessack)

She was an animal lover and had an incredibly soft heart for animals. Diane was known for taking in strays and giving them a loving home.

In her spare time, Diane enjoyed crafting and creating stained glass art. She was proud of her Italian heritage, which she shared with joy of her cooking and baking. Together with her husband James, Diane delighted in many adventures in travel.

She is survived by her brother Thomas Patano of Scherville, IN and sister Denise Downar of Cave Creek, AZ; sisters-in-law Betty Lisec of Poinciana, FL, Vickie Lisec of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Barbara (Mike Zang) Bakshis of Burlington, WI and brother-in-law Lawrence Bakshis of Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joseph Patano, Kenneth Lisec, and Richard Lisec, and brother-in-law David Tammen.
