

Diane was born in Chicago on August 6, 1940, to Chester & Rose Kendra (nee Drabek). She is survived by her daughters Candace (Enrique Perez) Flory and Kimberly (Michael) Carpenter; grandchildren Trinity (Shawn) Moore, Autumn (Nathan) Ingrum, and Corwin (Namukolo Kalaba) Wallace; great-grandchildren Logan, Charles, and Reese Moore, and Jack and Prudence Ingrum; brother Richard (Kathy) Kendra and sister-in-law Vivian Kendra, and many other dear relatives and friends. Diane was preceded by her parents, her husband Jack Flory, and her brother James Kendra.
Diane was an alum of Grant Community High School and Western IL University. She began working for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in 1968 as a State of Illinois employee, serving as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Judge. She retired 2003 from that position and immediately began working as the Assistant Director of Judicial Operations, thereafter, including serving as the Public Information Officer. Diane permanently retired in 2017 after dedicating over 49 years to the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit.
Diane enjoyed spending time with Jack in their home away from home in Florida, traveling with family on many cruises, trips to Vegas, and over 80 visits to Walt Disney World. Following Jack's passing in 2014, Diane settled in her daughter's (Candace) home, where she lovingly doted on her great grandchildren and grand-dogs and cats, while continuing to travel often.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with funeral service on Saturday, August 8th at 10:30 AM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Road in Gurnee. Following the funeral service, Diane will be laid to rest at Millburn Cemetery in Old Mill Creek, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Diane's name to Integrated Palliative and Hospice, 151 W Golf Road, Libertyville, IL 60048.
