Diane Harig

Diane Harig (nee Anasenes), 76, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 24th, 2017. She was born on September 8, 1940 to Constance and Louis Anasenes. Diane was a devoted wife to her husband, George for 53 wonderful years. She was a loving mother to her son George (Doreen) and daughter Constance (Peter), cherished grandmother to Sophia, Alexander, and Melanie, and fond sister to the late Georgia(John), Anthony (Barbara), and Janice. Throughout her life she enjoyed being a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Philoptochos at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. She also loved being a soccer, hockey, and dance grandmother. Diane was a kind, loving, and cherished friend to many. Although her journey on Earth has come to an end, the memories of her will live on forever. Visitation Friday 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Funeral Saturday 11:00 at Saint Demetrios Church 1400 O'Plaine Rd., Libertyville, IL. Interment Elmwood Park Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Philoptochos of Saint Demetrios Church in Libertyville.
