Donna was born in Chicago on May 12, 1947 to Michael and Wanda Presslak. She grew up with her sisters Joann (Kozien) and Christine Presslak in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village.
Donna was a loving wife to her husband, Gary, and together they built a life rooted in family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Christina (Elfvin) and Lindsay, and took great joy in being a grandmother to Christina’s children, Gracie and Grant, who were a constant source of pride and happiness.
Donna is survived by her husband Gary, daughters Christina and Lindsay, son-in-law, Jared Elfvin; her sisters, Joann and Christine; and her extended family, including her brother-in-law Donald Marinoff and his wife Deborah and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Donna deeply valued her family connections and cherished time spent together.
Known for her warm heart, thoughtful nature, and infectious laugh, Donna had a way of making others feel cared for and welcome. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
