Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Petrusky) Bauer

She was born to Joseph and Bertha Petrusky on March 6, 1929 in Waukegan, where she also graduated from high school in 1946. She married Gregory A. Bauer on May 8, 1965 at Holy Rosary Church in North Chicago. After a life of traveling the United States and a few European countries, and keeping active with golfing, square dancing and card clubs at Carillon North, her peaceful summer days were spent at their cottage up north with family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Raymond Petrusky; sisters-in-law Claudia, Mary Grace, and Helene; numerous nephews and nieces; Martha (Steve), Tom (Deedra), Adam, Sam, Braxton and Lexi.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Greg; brother and his wife Frank and Rita; sister and her husband Marian and John; sister-in-law Rose; sister-in-law and her husband Phyllis and Gene; brothers-in-law Howard, Dick, and Bob.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, Illinois, with visitation from 10 a. m. until time of Mass. No flowers please.

A donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Aunt Dorothy’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

Private internment at Ascension Cemetery will be held at a later date.
