Elmer Knoll

Elmer Knoll, 88, passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019. Elmer was born September 22, 1930 in Saint Peter, Kansas. He was an army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Gurnee American Legion Post 771 and VFW Post 6240 in Russell, Kansas. He loved his place up north, working on it and spending time with his family. Elmer adored his grandchildren. He is survived by his children; Linda (Lou) Spencer, Debi (Bob) Suda, Bruce (Mary) Knoll and Brian (Kathleen) Knoll; 10 grandchildren, David Spencer, Megan Spencer, Russ Suda, Jenni Hanson, Renee (Robert) Siddell, Adam and Aaron Knoll, Drew, Amanda and Chase Knoll; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Elmer was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Knoll.

A memorial visitation for Elmer will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, Gurnee, IL . A memorial mass will occur Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 6401 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee, IL. Burial private.
