Estela Marquez de Perez, age 66, of Zion, Illinois passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022. Estela was known to many as "Dona Karina". She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Benjamin Perez; two daughters, Celina (Lazaro) Medina and Karina (Ignacio) Perez; her father, Francisco Marquez; five grandchildren, Skylynn, Jaylene, Yazhari, Emmanuel Benjamin and Amari Luisa; and six siblings; Maria Elena, Lourdes, Guadalupe, Carlos, Martha Patricia y Maria Luisa. Estela was preceded in death by her mother Maria Luisa Marquez.
A visitation for Estela will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A funeral mass will occur Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Most Blessed Trinity (Holy Family) 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan, IL 60085. Interment at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
