Esther Rosario Medal, 92, of Waukegan, IL passed away on June 11, 2011 in Zion, Illinois. She was born May 22, 1919 in Leon, Guanajuato Mexico to Miqueas D. and Rosario Godinez. Esther was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Wesley Church both in Waukegan and retired from Abbott Laboratories as an Administrative Assistant. She is survived by 6 children; Patricia (Frank) Major, Esther (Louis) Rodriguez, Becky (Henry) Baez, John (Patricia) Medel, Joan (Randy) Thorton and Margaret (Doug) Dietrich; 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and a brother, Daniel Godinez. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Robert Medel; son, Robert Medel Jr.; granddaughter Melanie Rondeau and great-grandson, Joshua Rondeau. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 5 to 8pm at Marsh Funeral Home. Funeral service on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10am at First Baptist Church of Waukegan, 401 N. Genesse St. Waukegan, IL. Interment at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee, IL
