Eva Florence (nee Neofotistos) Woosley

Left to cherish Eva's memory is her mother Helen, her special friend and the love of her life Dave and many family members and friends.

Eva is a member of the Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, IL. Eva's Greek Orthodox faith meant so much to her.

Eva has a great talent for Art. Her beautiful artwork was special to her and meaningful and dear to all those who see it. When she finished her paintings or drawings, it made her happy to see her artwork enjoyed. Eva was very kind hearted although she faced many health challenges. Eva was kind, humble and gracious. Eva never expected or asked for much. She had a heart of gold, showing empathy and gave if and when she could to others.

Eva cared for and loved all animals; horses, Bogie her cat and her little gerbils and hamsters. Eva enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs, going out to eat, movies, and enjoyed her time and special visits with her Godsister and their friend Ruchi. Eva loved having company and could chat about anything all day.

Eva really cherished spending time with our parents going to Eagle River, Lake Superior, Wisconsin Dells and Lake Geneva with them. Eva enjoyed Sci-Fi movies, Ghost stories, Disney, Free form movies, WWF and Svengoolie. Eva's hobbies included fishing, demonstrating Tai Chi, holiday light decorating for July 4th, Halloween and Christmas. Eva was brave enough to participate several times in the Polar Bear Plunge.

Eva loved being treated and feeling special on her birthdays. Eva loved the staff at StoneBridge of Gurnee and her circle of friends.

R.I.P. Eva. You are loved. We know you did not have it easy but you gave it your all. Now you and Dad have each other to have your talks and your laughs again. We love you and will miss you dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Eva Woosley to Green Tree Animal Hospital (Angel Foundation), 800 E. Park Ave. Libertyville, IL 60048. Visitation will be held on September 11, 2026 from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM with prayers and a blessing at 2:00 PM.
