Francisca Puentes

Francisca Puentes, age 61, of Round Lake Beach, passed away on Monday, August 21st, 2023 at Northwestern Hospital Lake Forest with her family by her side. Francisca was born on March 13, 1962 in Waukegan, IL to Victoriano and Tomasa (Aguilar) Castillo and she attended Warren Township High School. Francisca married Rodolfo Puentes on June 5, 1982 at Prince of Peace in Lake Villa. She loved reading, watching Law and Order, Christmas movies and collecting anything with pigs on it. Francisca especially enjoyed baking and will be remembered for the items she made with great care and love for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victoriano Castillo and her sister, Rosalinda Charo.

Francisca is survived by, her mother, Tomasa Castillo; her loving husband of over 40 years, Rodolfo; two children, Justin (Tanya) Puentes and Amanda (Estefany) Puentes; two grandsons, Chad and Colton Puentes; four brothers, Eddie Castillo, Greg (Jackie) Castillo, Victor (Kim) Castillo and Tommy Castillo; her sister, Gloria Castillo as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Francisca that will take place Friday, August 25th, 2023 at the Marsh Funeral Home, 305 North Cemetery Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 11:30am with interment to immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
