Frank was born in Waukegan on October 13, 1929, a lifetime resident of Lake County.Frank joined the Navy and serviced in the Construction Battalion “See-Bees” during the Korean War.He graduated from Chicago Technical College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, acquired his Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor Licenses and became the owner of Northern Illinois Survey Company, located in Waukegan.
Frank is survived by daughters, Karen (Aaron) Akaka and Diane (Patrick) Bleck. Cherished grandpa of Chris (Autumn) Bleck, Kim (Jovan) Dupor, and Kalei (Dan) Kuratko, and the great-grandpa of Joshua and Caleb Kuratko and Luka Dupor. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ione C. Furlan and parents, Frank and Antoinette, and sister Janet.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his family, watching and playing golf, he was a lifetime fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs, relished vacationing in Hawaii and was active in the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers - Lake County Chapter.
