Fredric Strutzel

Devoted and committed husband to the love of his life and best friend, Lynne (Kramp) Strutzel, married on November 20th, 1965. Proud and loving father of Daniel (Elvia) Strutzel, Jennifer (Ben) Berg , and Amy Strutzel. Wise and beloved grandfather of Kyra (24), Jeremy (22), Camden (20), Benjamin (19), Emma (18), and Lauren (14). Cherished by his siblings Philip (Yolanda) Strutzel, Posey (Bob) Tirabasso, Charlotte (Wally) Cleff, and Terry (Rick) Kusles.

He was preceded in death by his parents Conrad and Rosemary and his beloved daughter, Jennifer Berg.

Fred had a deep and abiding passion for living and experiencing live to its fullest---whether it was vacationing with his family, cheering on his grandchildren at sporting events, or demonstrating loyalty to his beloved White Sox and Fighting Irish. He was a high-energy ray of sunshine to everyone he met---never failing to pass along a kind word, a smile or a hug. Most of all, Fred’s life was defined by his love of family, and dedication of the last 14 years of his life to assisting with the care of his late daughter’s children.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 23, from 5-8 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee. Visitation will continue Thursday, June 24, from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 121 E Maple, Libertyville. Life Celebration Mass will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will conclude the services at Ascension Cemetery.
