George A. Burchard Sr.

George A. Burchard, Sr., age 85, of Seabeck, WA, Naval WWII veteran, passed away Jan. 12, 2012 in Bremerton, WA. George was born June 4, 1926 in Bensenville, IL. He was a member of Operative Plasters and Cement Mason's International Association, Chicago Local 502 for 62 years. He is survived by his children, Barbara (David) Berend, John Burchard, Robert (Diane) Burchard, Kathy Burchard, Tom (Julie) Burchard, George (Diana) Burchard II, Jerry (Lori) Burchard; grandchildren Patty (Jay) Muller, Jeff (Toshia) Berend, Emily Berend, Dan Berend, Sara (Charlie) Leibfripz, Matthew Burchard, Elizabeth Burchard, Kristina Burchard, Mike Burchard, Joe Burchard, Jim Burchard, Dan Burchard, Kelli Burchard; great-grandchildren Sean Burchard, Karl Berend, Porter Berend; sisters Marie Hussar and Jean (Robert) Schlegel; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Josephine (Seng) Burchard; siblings John Burchard, Fred Burchard, Wilhelmina Johnson, Alma Moeller; grandchild Paul Burchard. Services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 135 S. Milwaukee, Lake Villa, IL 60046 on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. with burial at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations or memorials to Make-A-Wish Foundation, specifically for those children who wish to go to Disney World.
