George W. Snell

George W. Snell, age 89, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home with his wife, Nancy L. Young, at his side. George served in the 99th Infantry Division of WWII Battle of the Bulge. He received his MBA from DePaul University and worked for several major corporations until his retirement in 1985, when he entered into a joint venture with Illinois Trade Assn. for another 22 years. He is survived by children; Jeannine (Blake) Renslow, and Stephen (Lauren) Snell; grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Snell, and niece Dorothy Johnson and nephews Robert (Shari) and Larry (Gayle) Snell . Preceded by his first wife, Barbara, the mother of his children; brother, John and sister, Mary.

A memorial service will be held at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031 on Friday July 20, 2012 at 4:00pm with a visitation starting at 3pm. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minnesota at a later date. Donations to Guardian Hospice, 181 Waukegan Rd., Northfield, IL 60093 would be most appreciated.
