
George A. Van Der Bosch Sr. b. Aug 10, 1933 in Chicago to Edward Van Der Bosch and Josephine O'Neill Van Der Bosch. The middle of 9 children, George graduated from Loyola University in 1955 as a commissioned Officer in the U.S Army and married his beloved wife of 62 years Susan Hartnett of St. Louis, Mo. He is survived by Susan, five children Mary Jo (Bob) Schauer of Gunnison, CO. Anne Van Der Bosch of South Elgin, Il., Leo (Amy) of Placerville, CO., Ellen Van Der Bosch of Long Beach, CA. George (Janet) Van Der Bosch Jr. of Lake Zurich IL.; grandchildren , Lindsey (Ryan) Rees, Andrew Schauer, Evan (Caitlyn) Schauer, Lee Saunders, Jenifer (Brian) Gutke, Maxwell Van Der Bosch, Claire Van Der Bosch, George W. Van Der Bosch , and 4 great grandchildren. Brother Thomas (Neely) Van Der Bosch, sister Patricia (Stuart) Harvey, sister Teresa Van Der Bosch and many nieces and nephews. He will forever be remembered as a kind, loving gentleman, an avid skier and cyclist. Summers spent at the family farm in southern Wisconsin were legendary and shared with many friends. He passed away peacefully Nov. 18, after a long battle with Altzeimers disease. A memorial Mass and celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
