John Joseph Bellevage

John Bellevage passed away on March 9, 2025. John attended St. Anastasia and graduated from Waukegan High. John was born on August 5, 1954 in Waukegan, IL to Edward and Margaret Bellevage. John led a full life with intellect, loyalty, and pride in hard work and his Lithuanian heritage. He enjoyed reading daily newspapers, Motown music, Kansas basketball, and a cold drink. He was his wife's closest confidante, advocate, protector, best friend and greatest love. Loving thanks to Norm (Daphne), Rachel (Donato), Emalee, Rachel Lang and Aziz from Marsh for their support in this trying time.

He was preceded in death by Ed and Marge Bellevage; Norm and Mary (Ellie) Magnuson.

He is survived by his cherished wife of 38 years, Jan Bellevage; brothers Ed (Linda) and Tom Bellevage; brother-in-law Norm (Daphne) Magnuson; nephews Derek and Craig Bellevage and Brad Magnuson; nieces Lindsay (Matt) McCreary and Jamie Magnuson; great nephews Mattey and Owen and devoted companion Melo.

A visitation for John will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the Marsh Funeral Home (305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL). Immediately following the visitation, a burial will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in John’s memory to Midwest Veterans Pantry, or your local no kill shelter, would be greatly appreciated.
