

During his lifetime, Randy was a carpenter and general contractor. He built and remodeled numerous houses and commercial properties throughout the Waukegan area. Later in his career, he invested in residential real estate throughout the community buying, renovating, selling and renting housing units. He was committed to saving Waukegan, one property at a time.
Randy is survived by his four children, Cynthia (Michael Howe, Jr.) of San Antonio, TX, Jeff (Sara Streed) Dick of Waukegan, Jennifer Yonan of Waukegan and Steve (Paula Forseth) Dick of Sheboygan Falls, WI, his sisters Judiann (Ron) Dubs of Waukegan and Janice Burnett of Zion, and eight grandchildren Michael, III and Ian Howe, Adam and Diana Dick, Emma and Gregory, Jr. Yonan, and Caden and Makenzie Dick as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John B. Dick, mother Helen Emma Dick, brother-in-law Ron Burnett, wife Margaret “Margie” Dick and dear friend and companion, Carole Bartholomae.
Randy was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Waukegan (later Gurnee). Over the years, he was involved in several organizations including YMCA Camp Jorn and Indian Guides & Princesses, North Shore Snow Seekers Snowmobile Club. He and Carole were members of The Ambassadors Club (Bank of Waukegan) and Senior Circle (St. Therese Hospital).
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. "The memorial service will also be streamed live at 11 a.m. via Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/jennifer.d.yonan"
In lieu of flowers, donations to the John R. Dick Memorial Fund to be distributed to charities are welcome.
