John P. Miller, 51 years old of Lindenhurst, IL passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born January 26, 1970 to Mike and Noreen Miller in Elk Grove Village, IL. John was a compassionate perfectionist in his chosen career as a medical professional. John graduated from Rush University Medical School where he received his Bachelor of Science and became a Certified Cardiovascular Perfusionist (CCP). He later obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and began his nursing career as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Condell Hospital in Libertyville IL. John changed jobs and went to work as a Certified Surgical Nurse at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, IL.
Demonstrating his commitment to patient care, John pursued the credential of Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) as well becoming an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) all in the effort to expand his knowledge and abilities in caring for those suffering from cancer.
John was a Green Bay Packers fan and particularly enjoyed watching games against the Chicago Bears where he could carry on his quick-witted banter with anyone rooting against the “Green & Gold”. Additionally, John loved his music and appreciated everything from the Grateful Dead to Neil Diamond. His memory for details was fascinating. With the perfect timing of a comedian, he could deliver lyrics or movie lines which would leave everyone crying with laughter. John was preceded in death by his niece Emma Miller and was the adoring uncle of: Sam Miller; Ben Miller; Lawson Miller; Goddaughter Jessica Bowser; Adam Bowser; Erin Ralph; Lauren Ralph; Nicholas Casati and Jake Casati.
