I’ve known John since junior high. Our lockers were close by each other. We were in peer group together too and he provided so many laughs!
One favorite memory is sitting down in a large lecture hall at NIU our sophomore year of college and all of a sudden this cute guy says “Hi Maureen!” I totally wasn’t paying attention and did not realize John was sitting there.

The picture is from high school when a group of us went outside in the snow (why we have shorts on and why I’m the only girl, I do not remember...) but it’s a fun memory I won’t forget.
John- I won’t forget you. RIP. Gone way too soon!

John - my friend.
The last ten years wouldn’t have been the same without you. Usually it was just about what was happening this week, but other times it was more about what is this thing we are going through - life.
Thank you for calling when you were sick and letting me take you to the hospital.
Thanks for not watching me cheat at golf.
Thanks for the courtesy laugh - you know it was.

John was one of the smartest, quickest, smarmy wits I have had the pleasure to meet. I truly loved the man - and he is forever my friend.

I wasn't lucky enough to spend time with the adult John because my family moved away from Mundelein when I was 14, but we did reconnect years later. He always enjoyed having fun, and doing crazy things and pushing boundaries.

Halloween one year he knock on my windows while I was watching Jason. For years after that he would call me and make those crazy Jason noises, and hang up. Halloween wont be the same.

John was always sweet, kinda crazy, protective and onnery I'm going to miss his laugh and his face.

I love you John
