

John Joseph Wisowaty, age 59, 18400 W. Meander Drive in Grayslake, IL passed away suddenly on Friday, August 23, 2024 at home. He was born on September 28, 1964 in Chicago. John served in the Army National Guard as a Communications Sergeant from 1985 to 1991. He got his Associates Degree in Art in 1994 from Wright College in Chicago. After getting married to his wife, Patti, in 1998, they moved to Glenview. Then, after the birth of their first child in 1999, they moved to Gurnee where John became a congregation member at St. Paul of the Apostle Church. In 2005, John & Patti welcomed their second child and then 5 years later John decided to go back to school to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Management and Project Management. John was employed at Medline in Mundelein as an IS Workload Analyst for the last 8 years and worked with a phenomenal group of people.
John was an avid reader and he loved to keep a diary of all the meaningful events in his life. He was a big history buff, a very talented artist and a long-time Chicago Bears & Chicago Blackhawks fan. He was a very caring, thoughtful and kind person who always put others first. He was very well liked by everyone who was lucky enough to meet him. He loved to tell jokes and always knew how to put a smile on your face. He loved to regale us with his stories knowing we had heard them many times before. He loved his family with all his heart and would do anything for them. He will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers more than he could ever know.
He is survived by his wife Patti Wisowaty (nee McNamara), son Nicholas Wisowaty and daughter Chrissy Wisowaty and his brother, Paul Wisowaty as well as his nephew, Robert Wisowaty (Erin) and his niece, Brenda Katz (nee Wisowaty), his Aunt Joanne and Uncle Frank Pompilio as well as his cousins Tina, Tuccio and Pam. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Wisowaty, his mother, Eloda Wisowaty (nee Hanson), his brother, Harry Roy Wisowaty and his cousin, Donald Wisowaty.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee on Friday, August 30 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
