

Kathleen Ann (Lutter) Dever, born to Fred and Alma Lutter on February 15, 1946 in Waukegan, IL departed for her heavenly home on October 24, 2011 following a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her three sons; Scott (Alison) Dever of Kenosha, WI, Brian (Karie) Dever of Waukegan, IL, and Marc (Shannon) Dever of Waukegan, IL; one sister, Bonnie Ebler, Gurnee, IL; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and two brothers (William (Bill) and Fred (Bud)). She graduated high school from Waukegan Township High School in 1964 and worked as an employee of Abbott Laboratories for more than twenty years. She was a devoted, loving mother and is best remembered for her selfless nature and generous spirit. Despite various health struggles throughout her life, she remained strong in her faith and never hesitated to serve those in need. She developed a long list of people who were touched by her kind and caring heart. Her home and her heart were known to be places of acceptance and a refuge for those in need. She had a love for animals, reading the Bible, her annual trip to Bayfield, WI, and reconnecting with her Native American heritage. She was an active member of North Point Christian Church in Winthrop Harbor, IL and served as a volunteer with PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) for many years. Visitation will occur from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL and will be followed by a short memorial service. A family burial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Northshore Garden of Memories, 1801 Green Bay Rd. North Chicago, IL.
