Kristy Miller

Kristen Denise Miller, 70, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Kristy was born May 27, 1955 and raised in Rockford, IL by her parents William and Corinne Widell. She lived for many years in Gurnee, IL and was a member of Joy! Lutheran Church. Kristy was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family and friends dearly. She adored her grandchildren; she treasured their time together and the steady stream of cute pictures and stories. Kristy enjoyed designing and decorating at home, and she had her own style for making it warm and homey. Kristy enjoyed the sunshine and sitting out in it together. She had a gift for enjoying and celebrating the simple but important things of life. Kristy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tom Miller; children, Brandon (Korynn) Miller, Lindsey (Brian) Lowry; grandchildren, Merek Miller, Mari Miller, Tommy Lowry; sister Nancy Benjamin; brother John (Sharon) Widell; nieces (3), nephews (3), cousins, in-laws, and dear friends. Kristy was predeceased by her parents William F. Widell and Corinne (Larson) Widell. Memorial service will be 12 pm Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Joy! Lutheran Church, 749 S. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee, IL. A visitation gathering will be one hour prior to the service, and a luncheon at Joy! Lutheran Church will follow the service.
