Laura Ann Bittner

Laura Ann Wagner Bittner, 64, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2025. She was born on January 7, 1961 in Waukegan, Illinois. Laura graduated from Waukegan High School in 1979 and worked at St Therese Hospital for 15 years in both the Business Office and Respiratory Therapy Departments. She enjoyed being involved with the Employee Activity Committee, bowling league and cheering on the Blackhawks. In 1991, she and Ken Bittner married and moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. While in Tuscaloosa she devoted her time to her husband, Ken and dog, Sheba.

Laura returned to Waukegan to take care of her brother, Jeff. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs. Most recently she took care of dogs and cats for friends and family. Laura was an avid fan of NASCAR.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Evelyn Wagner, her husband Kenneth Bittner, brother Jeff Wagner, and sister Jane Wagner.

Laura is survived by her brother Timothy (Susan) Wagner, sister Nan (Greg) Johnson, niece Robin Johnson, and boyfriend Charlie Collins and his family.

Laura was loved and respected by many people and will be missed forever.

A visitation will take place from 1:00 pm till 5:00 pm on Monday June 2nd at Marsh Funeral Home 305 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL
