She was born March 6, 1964, in Chicago, IL to Herbert and Donna Lopatka. Linda was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and was a Paraprofessional at Millburn School District.
Linda is survived by her children; Daniel, Christopher, and Matthew Smith; parents Herbert and Donna Lopatka; brother Mark (Sylvia) Lopatka; niece Anastasia Lopatka; brother-in-law, Keith Smith. She was a treasured niece and cousin to many.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Martin Smith.
A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. Funeral mass Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. Interment at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.
