He was born October 10, 1925. Louis was raised in Carroll Iowa and lived in Waukegan for 58 years. He retired from Abbott Labs in December of 1987 after 30 years of service. Louis was an Active Founding member of St. Dismas Church, Waukegan Power Squadron, and Windy City Winnies Camping Club. Survived by his wife Betty of 62 years, children, Sandra(Robert) Lovgren, Gloria(Michael) Patterson, Barbara(Thomas) Campanella, and Randy(Lisa) Stickrod; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Maryann Buelt of Nebraska. Preceded in death by his brothers Bill Stickrod and Frank Brogan. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Dismas Church, 2600 sunset Ave., Waukegan, IL 60087 at 10am with visitation beginning at 9am until time of mass. Burial will be private.
