Mary Kaires

Joyce Kaires, age of 89 of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Wednesday November 19th peacefully in her home. Joyce was born January 22, 1936 to Bruno and Sophie (Tomkowicz) Kaires. Joyce grew up in North Chicago, Illinois. She attended Holy Child High School in Waukegan. After graduation, she attend Nursing School in Evanston, IL.

In between her 40 years of Nursing, she made a commitment to God and decided to enter into the convent and become a nun. That is when she became known as “Sister Adrian”.

She loved travel, theater and the Chicago Bulls (especially Scotty Pippen!). She had a passion for Oriental antiques and often found many treasures while shopping in Chicago with her close friends, David and Tony. All her relatives and friend loved Joyce’s witty sense of humor.

She is survived by her first cousin Patricia (Tomkowicz) Charles and many cousins.

Joyce will be fondly remembered and missed by all her many cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held this summer with immediate family only.
