Met Mac back in College and have been proud to call him a friend ever since. He would help anyone who needed it and loved his family. No matter what life threw at him, he would find a way around it. The stories are infamous, but the love that he showed to Molly and his family are what I remember most. We would tell the old stories and laugh. The deep belly laughs shared by old friends. Rest in peace my friend.

Unfortunately I didn't know Mac but I know his daughter April. What I know about April tells me something about the man that she adored so much. April is such a beautiful, happy, funny, generous soul and as I have learned more about her father through this tragedy it sounds like she is in many ways just like her Dad. This means to me, that Mac's wonderful generous spirit will continue to live on through his children. What an incredible and worthy legacy to leave behind.

My sincerest condolences to you April and to your family.

1976. Holy Cross H.S. Freshman year. 1st day. 1st class. And there's this Irish kid with a mop of kinda crooked curly hair in the same class as me. He and I, same schedule. Became friends. Little did I know that he would take me and so many others on a 40+ year wonderful, fun-filled, action packed journey that only Mac could navigate. He was a fun, funny, mischievous, generous soul and his passing is a deeply profound loss for all that knew and loved him. Rest well my friend. ♥️

There was never a fairway that Mac would miss, as long as it was for the adjacent hole. He made my drives look straight! Saturday mornings on the course and ice in the parking lot - pure gold! He as a father of a special needs child, I have seen no better. May the fairways in heaven be wide and Disney never catches on to tequila in a sunscreen bottle - RIP Mac!

Known Mac since we were kids. College roommates, stood up in each other’s weddings, Las Vegas trips, vacations with no money, Spring Break, Bears Games, concerts. You name it we did it. Sneaking into the Sugar Bowl or 7th game of the World Series was simply a challenge that must be, and would be easily conquered. The man is a true legend. It hurts to even write this. He had a ridiculous amount of love for his family, neighbors, and friends. What you saw of Mac was what you get. You never had to wonder what he was thinking. It was a joy to watch Mac around his family. His love and loyalty was amazing. My heart is broken as we have lost a truly one of a kind great, great dude.

Mac was my trainer when I entered the Sales field at 22 yrs old (1985). It was a life changing trajectory, and Mac was most definitely was my springboard! Rest easy old friend, and stop chewing on that pencil!
