Mingshun Wu

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mingshun Wu, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mingshun departed this world peacefully after a long illness on February 22, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Mingshun was born on June 28, 1943, in Dunhua, Jinlin Province, China. After a long, busy career, she retired to devote her life to her church in the city of Yanji. Her daughter, Lily Bero, sponsored her emigration to the United States, where she lived with Lily and her family until the end of her life. While in the USA, she continued to be active in Jubilee Church.

She is survived by her children, Xue Zheng, Lan Zheng (Chengquan Wu), Hua Zheng (Jimmie Yi), and Lily (Stephen) Bero; her grandchildren, Huilin, Jinxian, Ying, Stevie, and Luke; step-grandson, Jimmie Yi, Junior; and her great-grandchildren, Ellie, Xiaoyi, and Erica. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Xiufeng Zheng; and her brothers and sisters.

A visitation will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Warren Funeral Home, Cemetery & Mausoleum, 1475 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031.

Mingshun will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on. May she rest in eternal peace.
