

Monica A. Pavlick, age 86, of Beach Park, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Monica was born on March 10, 1938 in Waukegan Township to Harold and Kathleen (Givens) Phalin. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, graduated from Waukegan High School in 1956 and following high school, she attended St. Therese Hospital Nurses’s Training. Monica married Richard M. Pavlick on March 15, 1958 at Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Humility Church and she even used her skills at crocheting as a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Monica and Richard spent many years camping and traveling with family and friends. Their more recent travels saw the couple spending winters at their second home in Mesa, AZ. She will always be remembered for her tremendous loyalty to the Notre Dame football team and the love she had for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by, her parents and her son, Richard J. Pavlick.
Monica is survived by, her loving husband of over 66 years, Richard; two daughters, Terri (David) Crandall and Joan (Tony) Roemer; her son, Chuck (Cheryl) Pavlick; grandsons, Chris (Danielle) Crandall, Josh (Ashley) Watson, Alex (Liz) Crandall, Cody Collins, Brian (Rachel) Roemer and Brent (Trista) Roemer; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Diane Sargent as well as other family and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 9:30am until the time of Mass at St. Brigid Parish-Our Lady of Humility (10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL). A Memorial Mass for Monica will be directly following the visitation at 11:00am. After Mass, we will meet at Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL) for a graveside service.
