Nancy Heredia Romero

Nancy Heredia Romero of Waukegan, IL passed away on January 15, 2017. Nancy loved her family deeply and was "Auntie Nancy" to her many nieces and nephews. She retired from HSBC after 15 years and returned to the Waukegan School District, where she had previously worked. She loved working with her kids at Glen Flora Elementary School in Waukegan as a para professional and was known as being an enthusiastic (and competitive) participant in all school-wide challenges! She had an amazing sense of humor and a hearty laugh, she loved music and art, and she lived each day to the fullest. Survived by husband, Juan Romero, daughters Natalie Romero Stencil (husband Craig Stencil, son Samuel) and Cristina Romero Ronquillo (husband Nelson Ronquillo, kids Daniel, Jerry & Carina), siblings Gloria Murillo (husband Rafael Murillo, kids Laura, Julie, Erik), Julio Heredia (wife Leslie Heredia, kids Drew, JJ, Jordyn), Maria Rodbro (husband Edwin Rodbro, kids Katie, Ashley, Emma), Efren Heredia (wife Susan Heredia, kids Seth, Kyleigh, Alec) and Elizabeth Caraballo (husband Wilmer Caraballo, kids Lisa, Anthony, Justin). Preceded in death by father Julio Heredia and mother Carmen Heredia. Visitation Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 9am at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, with service following at 11am. In lieu of flowers, checks can be made out to Natalie Stencil, and the funds will be used in Nancy's memory at Glen Flora Elementary School in Waukegan, where she worked.
