Paul Anthony Rozwadowski

Paul was a dedicated machinist who worked for the same company since he was a teenager. He took great pride in his work and loved a challenge, often taking on projects others wouldn’t. Those who knew Paul best will remember his generous heart, quick wit, and wonderfully goofy sense of humor that could make those around him laugh.

Paul was always there for the people he loved, no questions asked. Whether it meant fixing something that was broken, sharing a laugh, or simply showing up when someone needed him, his family and friends knew they could always count on him.

Paul found joy in the simple things in life. He took tremendous pride in keeping his lawn looking its best and could fix just about anything. He loved watching storms roll in, and you could often find him outside taking them in. Paul also loved a good fire and never needed much of an excuse to start one. True to Paul’s personality, he always believed that when it came to fires, bigger was better.

When he wasn’t outside or working with his hands, Paul enjoyed relaxing in his recliner with a snack, watching sci-fi movies, the news, or the History Channel. He loved his dogs dearly and always included them in whatever he was doing.

In his final months, Paul’s greatest concern was not for himself, but for the love of his life, Karen. More than anything, he wanted to know she would be cared for. That was Paul—always thinking about the people he loved and putting their needs before his own.

Above all, Paul cherished his family. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Karen Rozwadowski; his son, Tyler Rozwadowski; his stepchildren, Ryan (Trish) Giarelli and Nicole (Alex) Giarelli; his brother, Gary (Sherri) Rozwadowski; and his beloved grandchildren, Vincent Giarelli, Frances Newman, and Sofie Rozwadowski. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his stepson, Michael Giarelli; his mother, Elsie Revis; his father, Julian Rozwadowski, his stepfather, Cal Revis and his Aunt Shirley.

Paul will be remembered for his kindness, dependability, laughter, and the way he made ordinary moments more fun. He made the people around him feel loved, protected, and appreciated. The world is a little quieter without Paul’s laughter, a little less certain without his storm watching, and a little dimmer without the man who was always there for the people he loved. Though he is gone, his kindness, strength, humor, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A memorial will be held at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee Illinois on Friday August 21st between 3pm-7pm.
