Paz Cabonce Aguilos

In loving memory of Paz Cabonce Aguilos (of North Chicago, IL), who peacefully passed away on July 22, 2024. Paz was born on May 16, 1929, in Lawaan, Eastern Samar, Philippines, where she spent her formative years surrounded by the love of her family.

Paz's life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her Catholic faith. From a young age, she found solace and strength in prayers, which guided her through life's joys and challenges.

Throughout her long and fruitful life, she touched countless lives with her kindness and vibrancy. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Paz's love and selflessness left a lasting mark on everyone she met.

Family was at the center of Paz's world. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Hilario, and a nurturing mother to her children, Jonila, Ana Linda, Emilia, Lina, Agapito, Felix, and Adelina. Paz is now reunited in eternal rest with her husband, two sons, parents Lopez & Lucia, siblings, Severino, Teodora, Dionisio, Gorgonio, Valeriano, and Juana.

She leaves behind her grandchildren, whom she adored, Reggie, Jade, Lovelyn, Loynn, Lhoyd, Loda Ann, Tommy, Ryan, Tyron, Emily, TJ, Pevelyn, Judell, and Agavelle, as well as numerous beautiful great-grandchildren.

In addition to her faith and family, Paz had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed gardening, watching Filipino telenovelas, eating her favorite dish paksiw (fish simmered in vinegar), and dancing whenever her favorite Visayan music played.

Paz will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we bid farewell to Paz Cabonce Aguilos, we take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her beloved ones who have passed and that she has found her eternal home. May her soul rest in peace.

A visitation for Paz will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 12:00PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. Graveside service at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1920 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.
