Raymond W. Wells

Raymond W. Wells 90 of Waukegan, passed away March 8, 2013 at home. He was born April 16, 1922 in Antioch Il. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a union carpenter for Ames Brothers of Waukegan for 30 years and upon his retirement managed Grand Avenue Shopping Center of Waukegan. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, horse shoes and wood working, also was an avid Cubs and White Sox fan. Beloved father of Roger (Linda) of Peoria, Il. Russell (Kathleen) of Waukegan, Il. Bruce, of Albuquerque New Mexico and Carolyn (Peter) Dorhout of Manhattan Kansas, Loving grandfather of Kristin, Kevin, Melissa (Scott), Rachel, Aimee (Justin), Jacquelyn, and Kathryn. Dear great grandfather of Adam and Tyler. Loving brother of Virginia Magiera, Warren (Ruth) and Richard. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley of 49 years, two daughter Marilyn and Cherlyn, two brothers Howard and Arthur, three sisters Lillian, Ruth and Shirley. Visitation 5-8 pm Wednesday and 10-11 am Thursday at Marsh Funeral Home. Funeral service 11 am Thursday March 14, 2013 at Marsh Funeral Home. Interment Avon Cemetery.
