Died on November 21, 2013. Born in Waukegan, Illinois on July 7, 1925. Rita was a retired cook from Waukegan West High School after 25 years of service and had been a resident of Waukegan for 86 years.
Rita leaves behind son James R. Alfano, daughter Mary Ellen (Fred) Napier, grand children Michael (Junco) Alfano; Daniel W. (Peggy) Alfano; Aimee Alfano and Christine (Steven) Kakowa and several great grand children.
She is preceded in death by her parents William Sr. and Irene Zupkus, brother William Zupkus Jr., husband James R. Alfano and son Daniel P. Alfano.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Assoc in Rita’s name.
