Robert James Tobias

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) J Tobias, age 75, of Burlington WI on Saturday, December 28, 2024, after battling Parkinson’s Disease and liver cancer. Robert was born on November 29, 1949, in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Geraldine (Dunn) Tobias.

He served his country in the Army in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He retired from North Shore Gas after 30 years and then worked for Auto Parts City another 17 years before retiring at 70 years old.

He married his high school sweetheart, Laurel (Rasmussen) Tobias in 1972. Bob is survived by his loving wife, their children, Melissa Tobias, Bradley Tobias, and Adam Tobias. His granddaughter Lily Tobias, brothers James Tobias, Michael Tobias, and sister June (Tobias) Negron.

He will be greatly missed and loved by many family members (lovingly known as UBB) and friends.

And he would want everyone to remember “Love you”

A visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A celebration of life in Bob's memory will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation, The American Cancer Society or the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
