Ronald Frank Dolence Sr

Ronald Frank "Doley" Dolence Sr., 77, of Gurnee, IL, passed away August 29, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 10, 1935 in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Dolence. On October 29, 1955, he married the love of his life Phyllis Vignieri. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage. He graduated from Waukegan High School, and was employed by Andro Pucin Distributors. Ron is survived by his wife Phyllis (nee Vignieri) of Gurnee, IL, four children Ron Dolence Jr., Mark (Sue) Dolence, Michele (Mark) Klemm, and Kelly (John) Glabowicz, nine grandchildren, Mark Klemm, Dana (Dan Lainio) Klemm, Amy (Scott) Knighton, Amber (Pat) Bodame, Eric Dolence, Ryan (Tammy) Dolence, Chris Dolence, Kevin Glabowicz, Kelsey Glabowicz, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his special cousin Lynn "Mena" Pierce. Funeral Services will be held at St. Dismas on September 3rd at 10:00 am and visitation will be held September 2, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Assistance in Healthcare, PO Box 396 Zion, IL 60099 to assist families who are effected by cancer. This would be appreciated by the family.
