With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Ryan Garcia, 43, of Gurnee, IL on August 11, 2026. Ryan is survived by his parents, Ronald and Grace Garcia, his sister, Grachelle, his brother-in-law, Mark, and his two nieces, Violet and Avery. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends, who many considered their best friend and brother.
Ryan loved to spend his free time fishing with his Dad and with friends, playing video games, spending time with his parents or taking his nieces on fun outings at the arcade or shopping. Ryan also enjoyed hanging out with friends, whether it be fishing, playing poker or darts, watching sporting events, going on errands, or playing Mario cart. Ryan was an enthusiastic sports fan; he loved all the Chicago teams and would root on his favorite teams at games with his friends. Ryan was a fierce supporter of his nieces and would attend their competitions to help cheer them on. Even though he didn’t have children of his own, Ryan was known to many of his friends’ children as Uncle Gar. So many have fond memories of time spent with him.
Ryan was always ready and willing to provide a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was always there and someone you could count on. Ryan made so many feel like family; he was everyone’s friend. Ryan is loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
