Simon E Flores Jr.

A Visitation will be held on March 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A Celebration of Life Mass will take place on March 21, 2026, starting at 9:30 am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031, followed by interment at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048.

Simon was born on June 12, 1967, in Waukegan, IL, to Simon G. and Ana Flores. He was honored to hold many titles through his life, most importantly Son, Father, Brother, Grandpa “Buelo”, Uncle, and Great Uncle.

Simon loved deeply and served others selflessly. He always found a reason to celebrate and bring happiness wherever he went, with a smile that would light up the room. He showed his love through actions and was always ready to lend a hand, help someone in need, or simply be present with those around him through thick and thin. His faith and trust in the Lord carried and strengthened him daily so that he could share his love with all he knew.

He was Elvis’ 1 fan, and a loyal supporter of the Chicago Cubs and the Bears. More than anything, Simon’s children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Simon is survived by his children Reina (Tim), Ariceli (Ian), Simon III, and Alex (Leylany); his eight grandchildren; his father Simon G. Flores, Sr.; and siblings Pedro, Lydia, and Anna. He was preceded by his mother Ana, and his brother Johnny.
