Stanley R. Zegar

Stanley R. Zegar, Age 85, of Wadsworth, passed away September 15, 2014 at Rolling Hills Manor. He was born March 4, 1929 in Waukegan, IL. Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Founding member of Men's Garden Club of Waukegan with his three brothers, Louis, Anthony and Joseph. Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus; AT&T Pioneers, avid golfer and wood worker and, in general, could fix about anything. Member of the Conservation Club of Kenosha County. Korea War veteran (served in England). Survived by three children, Timothy (Marilyn), Terry (Kimberly) and Karen Matczynski; six grandchildren, Dawn (Jason) Adams, Russell Zegar, Haley and Howie Matczynski, Jason Adlesick, and Jacqlyn (Justin) Fritz; one great-granddaughter, Ruby Fritz; two sisters, Florence Quick and Helen Stanczyk; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; one son, Gregory; four brothers, Frank, Louis, Anthony, and Joseph. Service at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 15000 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL Friday, September 19, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Burial: Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Marsh Funeral Home.
