

Valerie Lee Rastelli, age 76, of Zion, Illinois, beloved wife of Henry Rastelli, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on March 15, 1950, to Alfred Pinto and Ana (Concepción) Pinto.
Valerie was active in many areas throughout her life. She worked in the Assessor’s Office for the Town of New Fairfield, Connecticut. She also served as a Girl Scout leader for more than five years. She had a love and passion for music and loved to play piano. She was active in church at the United Methodist Church and served in various ways through music. Valerie sang in the choir, played in the handbell choir, led various children’s choirs, led handbell choir and even directed musicals. After moving to Illinois, she both played in and led the handbell choir at Gurnee Community Church in Gurnee.
Valerie faithfully attended Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for more than 40 years in Danbury, Connecticut, and Libertyville, Illinois. She participated both as an attendee and as a discussion leader. She also attended Community Bible Study (CBS) in Libertyville, Illinois, where she served as both a participant and group leader.
She is survived by her loving husband, Henry Rastelli of Zion, Illinois; her son, Raymond Rastelli and his wife, Melissa (Hull) Rastelli of Belton, Texas; and her daughter, Jessica (Rastelli) Myers and her husband, Matthew Myers of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Ally, Paul, Sophia, Andrew, Giovanna, Chris.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2026, at Gurnee Community Church. Visitation will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 4:00 p.m.
