Vicki Olszak

Vicki Olszak, age 73, of Lindenhurst, IL, passed away on May 18, 2026, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Vicki was born in Princeton, IL, on June 2, 1952, to Harry and Irene (Whaley) Chenneour. She grew up on a farm outside of Walnut, IL and dedicated much of her life to caring for her family as a homemaker and worked for many years as an EKG Technician.

Vicki was passionate about cooking, sharing new recipes and holding annual lunches for the neighborhood ladies. She loved animals, especially her dogs, throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, returning to Maine often for vacations. She loved the Andy Griffith Show and even went to visit Mount Airy, NC, the fictional Mayberry, R.F.D.

Vicki was the beloved wife of David Olszak for 52 years; loving mother of Nathan (Emily) Olszak and Karyn (Wes French) Olszak; cherished grandmother of Jacob Olszak, Kyle Mrazek, Lucas Olszak, Oliver French, and Augie French, dearest sister of Bruce (Denise) Chenneour and mom to her latest rescue dog, Maggie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL.
