VICTOR "Togo" LUGO, 84, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 29th, 2020. God blessed Genara Reyes and Julio Lugo with his birth on March 23, 1936 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He moved to Waukegan at the age of 18.

Victor and his loving wife, Sara, were united in marriage January 14th, 1961. From their 59 years of marriage came their four blessings - Jose, Victor, Wanda and Edilberto.

He worked as an electrician for Great Lakes Navel Station for 33 years. He was a long time member of the Puerto Rican Society of Waukegan holding different board positions including President. He attended St Joseph Catholic Church, which is now Most Blessed Trinity. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing dominos, had a great sense of humor, bike riding in nature, taking long drives with no destination in sight, singing, reciting tongue twisters, watching baseball and traveling around Puerto Rico. Togo loved escaping to Mcd’s with the grandkids. There he taught them the right way to eat their ice cream was by dipping their French fries into it. He was so laid back that we’d say the sky could be falling and he would wait 30 minutes to pick it up.

He is survived by his wife, Sara, their children, Jose (Noeme), Victor (Yolanda), Wanda (Carlos) Valentin and Edilberto (Denise), his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Julio and Genera, his sisters, Carmen and Martha and his grandson, Miguel Angel.

Services will be held at Marsh Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee,

dear dad, so many things you taught us, i appreciate it all. even learning electrical tools by bringing you practically everything in tool belt and you gave me their names till i finally learned their names, you lost your temper but i know whats a linemans, from needlenose to a channel lock. hahha. i still hate crawl spaces but i ain't afraid to wire an outlet while still alive. we had many rides with no destination ortill we ran out of gas and we would fill up and turn around. thanks for everything dad.

Sr. Victor:

I’m very grateful to my uncle because when i came from Puerto Rico he and his wife open their doors and supported me unconditionally. I will always be grateful and will never forget this. I will miss you tio. Rest in peace. Love you for ever.
