Victor Valdez

Victor was born on March 10, 1927 in Baguio City, Philippines to Ambrosia Balanon and Felipe Valdez. He was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years before retirement and also worked for Abbott Labs for 25 years. Victor loved bowling, gardening, mahjong, the outdoors, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs. He was also a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Victor is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Lita C. Valdez; his parents Ambrosia Balanon and Felipe Valdez; his brother Swannie Valdez; and his son-in-law Robert G. Otterson.

Victor will be dearly missed by his son Michael (Karen) V. Valdez and daughter Lorna (Robert) Otterson; his grandchildren Andrea (Eric) Klingenberg, Brandon (Jennifer) Otterson, Christine Otterson, Ethan Valdez, Harrison Valdez; and his great-granddaughter Olivia Otterson.

A visitation for Victor will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A funeral service Monday, January 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A graveside service will occur Monday, January 30, 2023 at Highland Memorial Park, 33100 N. Hunt Club Rd., Libertyville, IL 60048.
