Alan Buchsbaum

Buchsbaum, Alan H., Age 86, of Englewood, NJ, passed away January 11, 2015 in Delray Beach, Florida. Born in Ellenville, NY, he received early legal training hustling trays as a Borscht Belt waiter at Tamarack Lodge and The Fallsview, leaving a permanent indent in his left shoulder. Proud and respected old-school trial lawyer with many successes in the Southern District of New York zealously representing merchant mariners. Former Commissioner, Englewood Little League. Spirited tennis player and freshwater fisherman. Indomitable personality who made a lasting impression upon all he encountered.

Survived by his sons Andrew (Liz) and Richard (Maria) and grandchildren Daniel, James, Max and Mia, pre-deceased by his wife Rita. Loved and missed by many.

The funeral service was held Friday January 16th at our chapel, Gutterman and Musicant Funeral Directors, Hackensack, NJ 07601

Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle River, NJ 07458.
