"Bea" was born in the Bronx, NY to Sylvia and Sidney Lieberman. While growing up in the Bronx, she met and wed her neighborhood sweetheart and high school prom date, Bernard Mintz. As a lifetime fashionista, Bea was honored to work at Macy’s department store for a short time while Bernie was in the army. She was a proud wife & homemaker for 74 years and always wanted to be a mother. She and Bernie graciously made the decision to adopt a six month old baby girl, whom they would raise and spoil endlessly throughout their lives.
Bea had a love for classic films and Broadway musicals, designer handbags, chocolate, and anything leopard print. You could always catch her singing show tunes, even in the audience along withthe actors. She made the best Hanukkah latkes her granddaughters have ever tasted. Later in life in her 80’s, she became the Yankees’ biggest fan, especially Derek Jeter.
Memories of Bea’s charm and sense of fashion will be remembered and celebrated by her family and friends for many years to come.
Beatrice will be missed dearly by her daughter, Susan Damin (65), her two grandchildren, Leah (31) and Rachel Damin (27), her dog, Ozzie and her cat, Nona.
In Honor of Beatrice Mintz a Graveside Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday November 29th at the Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ.
Friends attending should meet outside the cemetery's office at 1:45 PM for ample time to pay respects to the family. The cemetery's foreman will escort us to the grave at 2:00 PM for the service. Please Do Not Meet At The Grave.
