Denise Rubens

Loving wife of the late Stanley Rubens, mother of Monique Rubens Krohn and the late Rick Rubens. In-law to Douglas Krohn, MD. Loving and proud grandmother of Alex and Meaghan. Treasured sister of Jacques Blum [deceased] and Rhoda Berman, and devoted aunt of Judy Siegel, Laurence Arnstein, Anne Blum and Laurie Arnould.

Born in Paris, France, Denise fled her beloved city during WWII to come to the US. She attended the Lycee Moliere, Dalton School and Hunter College, worked as a translator and resided in Hillsdale, NJ since 1955.

Services at Gutterman and Musicant, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ on Friday, April 8 at 11:30AM. Donations may be made to Hearing Loss Association of America, 7910 Woodmont Avenue, Suite 1200, Bethesda, MD.

Friends may arrive at 10:45 for ample time to pay respects to the family.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.

After the interment the family will return to Denise Ruben's home, 94 Plymouth Road, Hillsdale NJ. Shiva will resume at the same address Saturday 7PM to 9PM. Shiva will continue on Sunday at the home of Monique Rubens Krohn and Dr. Douglas Krohn, 113 Berkeley Circle, Basking Ridge NJ 7PM to 9PM
