I had the privilege of having Mrs. Saslow as a professor  in food science for the semester she taught at Simmons College. The was so kind, caring and nurturing. She made learning fun. We were drawn to each other and have kept in touch ever since my graduation back in 1996. I will miss you Mrs. Saslow.

I met Peggy Saslow when I joined "Tennis for Life" in 2008, a breast cancer survivor's group that plays tennis weekly in Ridgewood, NJ, which she helped form many years earlier.  I was immediately impressed with her charm, friendliness, educational background, and intelligence.  She became a role model for many of us and played tennis into her early 90s.   We enjoyed celebrating her 100th birthday this past June and are going to miss her very much.

Peggy was truly a remarkable  person. A Woman of Valour! She was a warrior! 
Age was just a number and illness was just a bump in the road.
 Rest in Peace sweet Peggy.

To Peggy's family my sincere condolences. Nothing I or anyone can say will make it easier. I knew Peggy well and, unfortunately,  understand what you are feeling. She brought love and sunshine with her.

So sorry to hear of Peggy's passing.  She was committed to education.  Peggy gave my daughter, Maura, wonderful advice and support when she attended  Simmons College. I remember having many good conversations with Peggy at the New Milford Swim Club.

I had the privilege of working with Peggy when I was VP at NMHS.  Her ever present smile and her committed to her students were second to none.  I will never forget her kindness and her beautiful smile.  Rest In Peace my friend.

Dear Susan,
I just saw on facebook that your mom passed this week.
I am so sorry for all of you, but she lived a wonderful life influencing generations of kids in New Milford. She was such a role model of a professional woman at a time when that was rare.
Her memory will live on.
I wish you strength during shiva, which is a really hard time.
I hope her enduring strength and love will give you solace this coming year. We never stop missing the amazing parents we had!!

Peggy was the consummate lady.  She touched the lives of so many people and did this with grace and love.  Peggy was a good soul.  She made all of us better human beings.  Dominic N. Stimola

While not family in the genealogical sense, she will always be Grandma Peggy to me. I so appreciated her warmth, love, and laughs through the years. For 100 years strong, she raised an incredible “genealogical” family. Were it not for her, I wouldn’t have my most beloved friend and cherished “aunts” and “cousins”. I have Grandma Peggy to thank both directly and indirectly for some of the best experiences in my life. As an educator and someone who discovered and fell in love with tennis later in life, I marvel at how much we had in common and never discussed. I wait eagerly for someone to write her biography (or maybe for a family member to discover her autobiography in journals tucked away in a quiet bookshelf). Regardless, her amazing stories live on in her family, students, friends, and everyone she touched. My condolences to the family and all of us who know what the world is missing without Florence "Peggy" Saslow still in it. And, to Grandma Peggy, thank you for everything and I’ll see you in the school on high.

My deepest sympathies to the Saslow family.  I was blessed to have Mrs. Saslow as my teacher for more than one class at NMHS.  She left a life long impression on me and taught me a lot more than the course material.  
She taught me about kindness and sensitivity.  I will always remember how sweet she was and how she could tell if you were having a rough day and would let you come in to the Home Economics kitchen to make a cup of tea.  She was a special woman and left her mark on a lot of people.  I was privileged to have known her.

Not only did Mrs. Saslow teach, but her secret ingredient was love. A rare recipe for a teacher.

God rest your soul, Mrs. Saslow, you will surely be missed.

As a student of NMHS. I had the opportunity to have Ms Saslow as a teacher for cooking. It was so much fun.  She was a well liked teacher. Always greeted her as she walkine the parades in New Milford.  Her smile everyone would always remember.  My deepest condolences at this time to her family.  She will continue to teach once  she gets up to those pearly gates with a smile.

Peggy, a fellow teacher in New Milford, was the person who told me to come to Tennis For Life at a retired teacher luncheon. Since then I have always been grateful for sharing all the experiences we have had.over the years. I even took her senior citizen driver class! 
Her energy, strength  and  wisdom made her the role model for all of us.  Her beautiful memory will live within all of those lives she touched.
