Hal was my Pal. Hal was in an inspiration for  me and a role model as an engaged and caring  father figure. He demonstrated for me the value of hard work and integrity,  and a consistent commitment to be there for family and friends.  Over the past 35 years we spent many times together talking, working on projects at the house, and on mini missions and adventures.  Hal was an influence in my life that augmented my values as a parent in a very positive way.
