Irwin B. Gerber, 80, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2020. He was preceded by his parents Nathan and Pauline Gerber, and survived by his sister Shirley Wechsler. Irwin was born on September 18, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York and lived primarily on Long Island, New York before retiring to Delray Beach in 1999. Known for his leadership, Irwin served on numerous community boards throughout his life including President of Temple Beth El in Patchogue, NY as well as condominium President and Treasurer in his community of Las Verdes in Delray Beach, FL. A born problem-solver, Irwin always made himself available to his family, friends and the community, whether it be for advice with insurance, how to tune-up an engine, and everything in between. He had a passion for love, life, God, Israel and especially family. He was the cherished father of three children, Nadine (Kevin) Benoit, Pamela Tinkham and Jonathan Gerber. Irwin was also the loving grandfather to Allison (Eric) Quaranti, Jacqueline Benoit, Eric Benoit and Uncle to Neil (Tobi) Wechsler.
